OUR SERVICES

General Consultation

Bring your pet for a consultation when there is a specific concern. It is also an opportunity to discuss with your vet any number of aspects of your pet’s care, such as dietary queries, parasite control, weight / skin worries or supporting an aging pet.

Specialist Exotics Consultation/Care

Within the veterinary field, an exotic pet is considered to be anything that is not a dog or cat.

Standard Exotic pets, such as Rabbits/Guinea Pigs/Hamsters, Birds & Reptiles have very specific husbandry & veterinary needs.

Our 2 highly qualified & experienced vets, Dr Chris Lloyd & Dr Francisco Ruiz are here and ready to guide & support you through routine preventative care & provide speciality care to keep your ‘exotic’ happy & healthy for as long as possible.

Endoscopy

‘Less Pain, Faster Recovery’. 2F4P strives to embrace new technology and developments in veterinary medicine and surgery. Endoscopy allows a visual examination of internal organs and body parts via small incisions to diagnose or treat disease. Common ways in which 2Feet4Paws uses Endoscopy in our day to day work might be:

Laproscopic Spays – resulting much quicker recovery time, with minimal incisions

OR

Foreign Body Removal – avoiding the need for large incisions or major abdominal surgery

Dentistry

It is highly recommended that your pet’s teeth and gums are routinely checked. When your pet is young, having them checked during their yearly vaccination is sufficient but as they age, it may need to be more often.

90% of Dental issues begin below the gumline so regular checks will help us tackle issues as early as possible.

It is always better to tackle problems when they are small, rather than wait till they develop into something big.

Please Note: We do not advocate Anaesthesia-Free Dental Work for reasons outlined here.

Diagnostic Imaging

One member of the 2F4P Diagnostic Team that is always kept very busy, is … our Ultrasound Machine.

Ultrasounds are especially useful in the veterinary world as:

  1. they are non-invasive
  2. seldom require anaesthesia
  3. can be easily repeated (for monitoring pregnancies, for example)
  4. allows internal organs to be reviewed with greater precision
  5. can greatly assist in surgical procedures if needed
  6. typically doesn’t distress pets

Ultrasounds can be used to detect or assess:

Pregnancies,
Foreign Bodies,
Heart function,
Some Tumours or
any changes to certain internal organs.
